85, of Newport, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Newport, RI. Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Austin and Marguerite (McCusker) O'Malley.

Brian was a graduate of Bryant University and a US Army Veteran. He went on to work as an executive for Textron Inc. and became President of Gorham Manufacturing, a Textron subsidiary. Brian was a dedicated parishioner of Trinity Episcopal Church in Newport. Brian's service to the parish was significant and notable. Brian served on the Trinity Vestry as Stewardship Chair, and was a long- standing usher. He served diligently as the bookkeeper for over twelve years, retiring just last July. Brian was the former Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for Seamen's Church Institute. Brian also enjoyed his membership at the Newport Reading Room.

Brian is survived by his loving sons, Brian E. O'Malley, Jr. and his wife Kelly of North Kingstown, Scott O'Malley and his wife Geri of Coventry, and Christopher O'Malley and his wife Heather of Centennial, CO; cherished grandchildren, Emma & Shane O'Malley, Alexa & Patrick O'Malley; and his companion in life, Cynthia O'Malley of Newport, whom he loved dearly. Brian was the brother of the late Patricia Baribault, Margaret Farrell, Austin O'Malley, Jr., and Robert O'Malley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Trinity Episcopal Church, Newport. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Trinity Episcopal Church, 1 Queen Anne Square, Newport, RI 02840.
