67 of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at home. He was the beloved husband for 31 years of Claudia Santana Sluss Dahm. Born in Tallahassee, Fla., he was the son of the late Carl H. and Charlotte E. (Parks) Dahm.
Bob was a 1970 graduate of Brown University who earned several advanced degrees, including a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration. An accomplished illustrator, his editorial drawings appeared regularly in major publications worldwide and have won numerous awards. He was an avid world traveler his entire life, and spent the last 12 years teaching overseas, most recently as Professor of Design at the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Bob was the devoted father of Casey Dahm of Pawtucket, R.I. and Robert A. Dahm of Los Angeles, Ca., and "Pop" of Dylan W. L. Dahm of Pawtucket, R.I. He was the dear brother of Joseph (& JoAnne) Dahm of Savannah, Ga., James (& Mary) Dahm of Blythewood, S.C., Andrew (& Margaret) Dahm of Asheville, N.C., and loving brother-in-law to eight Sluss siblings and their spouses, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
