Carl T. Marciano (Lt. PFD, Ret.)
91 of Saunderstown, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at South County Hospital in Wakefield. He was the beloved husband for 65 years of Pearl S. (Spina) Marciano and loving father of the late Carl T. Marciano, Jr. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James and Rose (Colletti) Marciano.
Carl was a firefighter for the City of Providence for 28 years retiring with the rank of lieutenant in 1978 and was a WW-II U.S. Navy veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter-in-law Diane M. (DeFrancesco) Marciano of Saunderstown and was the brother of the late Angela Pontarelli, Catherine Filardo, Rose DiPonte and Vena, Ethel, Ruth and Joseph Marciano.
His funeral and burial with military honors were private.
