Carlo A. DeRosa
78, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. Carlo was the devoted and loving husband of the late Carol A. (Falco) DeRosa. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carlo A. and Marie (Casey) DeRosa. Mr. DeRosa was an Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War and worked as a mechanic for thirty-five years, before his retirement.
He is survived by his four children; Carl A. DeRosa and his wife Renee of Warwick, Carla M. Russo and her husband Anthony of Johnston, Steven A. DeRosa of East Providence and John J. DeRosa of Johnston. He was the father-in-law to Avis DeRosa-Califano and Lori DeRosa, both of Johnston. Carlo was the beloved grandfather of ten. He was the brother of Joan DeRosa of Cranston, Raymond DeRosa of Narragansett, Dolores DeRosa of Florida and the late Gloria Cash, James Taylor, and Joseph DeRosa.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, Providence at 10:00 a.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
