It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and friend, Carlos E. Acevedo, who peacefully passed away on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Guatemala, Carlos was the beloved son of the late Maria Teresa Lopez Caballeros and the devoted husband of Marta J. (Garcia) Acevedo. Carlos was a man of quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and a generous heart.
He spent many years working as a machinist for a machinery supply company, where he was respected for his hard work, skill, and commitment. Beyond his profession, Carlos will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and the genuine warmth he shared with everyone he met. He had a remarkable way of making others feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Above all else, Carlos's greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a loving father to Carlos Acevedo and his wife Stephanie Acevedo, Erick Acevedo and his wife Rafaelina Bravo, Diego Acevedo, Victoria Acevedo, and Daniela Acevedo. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will remain with them always.
Carlos was also a proud and devoted grandfather to Josiah Acevedo, Jocelyn Acevedo, and Joaquin Acevedo, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life. In addition to his immediate family,
Carlos leaves behind many extended family members, cherished friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness and compassion. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, strength, faith, and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carlos's life on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island.
