Carmela (DelVicario) DeFazio

93, of Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Sunny View Nursing Home, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore M. DeFazio. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louie and Filomena (LaPolla) DelVicario, she moved to Cranston in 1949. Mrs. DeFazio was an avid gardener. She was the devoted mother of John L. DeFazio and his wife Mary, Salvatore P. DeFazio and his wife Nancy and Louis D. DeFazio, all of Cranston; loving grandmother of five; loving great-grandmother of five; and dear sister of the late Anna Calitri, Mary Sepe, Angelo DelVicario, Carol DellaFave, Filomenia Mackinnion, and Rose DelVicario. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
