Carmela (Salzillo) Vacca

104, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent "Jimmy" Vacca. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Teresa (Russo) Salzillo. Carmela was the devoted mother of Dr. Vincent Vacca and his wife Donna of Cranston and Robert Vacca and his wife Pauline of Narragansett; loving grandmother of six; loving great-grandmother of eight; and loving great-great grandmother of two. She was the dear sister of Elsie D'Ambra and Albert Salzillo, both of Johnston and the late Carlo and Vincent Salzillo, Emily Lombardi, Jennie Esposito and Louise Placella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 21st at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave. Johnston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
