Carol Ann Kelley, of Rose Drive in Exeter, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at South Kingstown Nursing & Rehab in West Kingston. After 44 years of marriage, Carol Ann leaves her husband, retired Cranston Fire Department Lieutenant Steven F. Kelley. She was the daughter of the late Rene and Rose (Ruggieri) Bouchard. Both Carol and Steve were raised in Cranston and moved to Exeter 42 years ago. Carol Ann was a proud graduate of Cranston East High School, Class of 1968.
Following graduation, Carol pursued a variety of professional opportunities. She began her career as a dental assistant and office manager before transitioning to retail, working at Peerless Outlet Co. in Providence and G. Fox. She later brought her skills closer to home with a position in Cranston. While working at Fleet Bank in Garden City, she also joined Century 21 in Cranston. After purchasing her home in Cranston, she left Century 21 and pursued further education at CCRI and Rhode Island College, where she trained to support families in need or facing abuse. Her final role was at Kent Hospital, where she worked for more than 10 years before retiring in 2011.
Carol Ann is survived by her cousins Rita Edwards, Debra Borzaro, Corrine Roy, Gail Ruggieri, Patty Salley, and Frankie Tedino; her nephew Alex Karacas; her goddaughter Windy Fino; her best friend Susan Lyttle; and her niece Brooke Kelley. She was predeceased by her cousin Joanne Henault.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 26th, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Funeral Home Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
