85, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Kent County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Edward C. Colozzi for 64 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Fioravante and Angela (Marsella) Neri. Caroline worked as a teacher's aide in the Cranston School Department for 25 years until her retirement. Her crowning achievement was at the age of 68 when she graduated with honors from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Her passion in life was music. For many years her beautiful voice graced the St. Mary's and Immaculate Conception choirs. She was also blessed with the opportunity to sing a solo for Pope John Paul II at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome in the late 1990s. Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Marie E. Rossi of Cranston, Mark E. Colozzi and his wife Joanne of Cranston, and Edward C. Colozzi, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Cranston; her cherished grandchildren Angela Twiggs of North Scituate, Gina Etchels of Sanbornton, NH, Alicia Colozzi and Jenna Colozzi of Cranston, and her great-grandchildren J.T., Madelaine and Maeve Twiggs of North Scituate, Addyson and Dennis Etchels of Sanbornton, NH, and her sisters Lucy Colarusso of Cranston and Anna Piacitelli of Cranston and the late David Neri of Providence. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
