Carolyn Ann (Marchand) DelFino 78, devoted wife, mother, and nana passed away Tuesday July 8, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Irene (Girouard) Marchand.
Carolyn is survived by her loving, adoring husband Ronald DelFino and children, Gina (DelFino) Tocco and Jonathan DelFino, and her grandsons Matthew and Ryan Tocco, her sister Elaine Marchand RSM, and predeceased by her sister Marilyn Stebenne.
Carolyn was a good - natured women and the embodiment of success in all she pursued. She carried a gentle spirit - kind, generous, and deeply loved by all who knew her. Even in times of illness, she worried more about a burden to others than about herself.
Though we feel a deep sorrow at her passing, she would not want us to dwell in anger or sadness. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her beloved husband, Ron, her partner of 56 years. They were inseparable, sharing a love for travel, cruises, and life’s many adventures.
Carolyn enjoyed tennis, biking, dancing, card games, and cherished her time in Florida. She passed on these passions- as well as her wisdom and warmth - to her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. Being surrounded be her family brought her the most happiness.
She was also blessed with a circle of loyal and loving friends and never wanted to miss a gathering. Her presence lit up every room, and her memory will continue to do so in the hearts of all who loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston at 10 am on Monday, July 14th.
Entombment will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904
