Caryl A. Saccoccio

a devoted mother, sister, partner, and cherished family member, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 8, 1946, in Providence, Rhode Island, Caryl's life was marked by dedication, kindness, and a deep love for those close to her.

Throughout her career, Caryl worked diligently as a bookkeeper for several businesses. Her professional life was characterized by diligence and accuracy until she retired due to illness. Though work was an important part of her life, her proudest accomplishments were always her family. She treasured the moments shared with loved ones and made family the center of her world.

Caryl had a passion for travel and crafts, pursuits that brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity. These hobbies reflected her adventurous spirit and her love of creating something beautiful with her own hands.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Abbondanza and her husband, Giovanni; her beloved grandson, Gehrig Abbondanza; her sister, Jean LaMarre and her husband Stephen; her brother, Carl Saccoccio and his wife Tammy Lederer; and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. For 33 years, Caryl shared a loving partnership with Bernard Stack. She also leaves behind Bernard’s son, Joel Stack (Melissa) and their children, Alessia and Elias, who will miss her kindness and warmth.

Caryl was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Almarinda (Taglione) Saccoccio; and her brothers, Louis Saccoccio and Alexander Saccoccio and his wife Annette. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
