of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Giulio Colapietro. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Caterina was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Vincenza (Romano) DeCubellis. She grew up in Campagnola, Italy, before moving to Rhode Island in 1954. Mrs. Colapietro worked as a benchworker for Colonial Knife, was President of Maria SS Della Pieta, loved gardening, and most of all, spending time with her great grandchildren.
Caterina is survived by her daughter Joanna Colapietro, grandson Giulio Lugini and his wife Jennifer, and her great grandchildren Nathan and Anna Lugini. She was the dear sister of Eleodora Martino and her husband Alberto of Cranston, Gina DeCubellis, and Aldo DeCubellis, both of Italy.
Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston at 11 a.m. VISITING HOURS: Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be held in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
