Catherine Ann "Cathy" (Wilkicki) Nesbit

Catherine Ann (Wilkicki) Nesbit, 77, of Warwick, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at RI Hospital in Providence.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gilda (Tessitore) Wilkicki.

Cathy was the devoted mother of James McAssey, Jr. and his wife Lee Ann of Cranston; cherished grandmother of Ryan McAssey and his fiancé Morgan and Patrick McAssey and his wife Sarah; and dear sister of Helen Marrapese and her husband Vincent and Charles Wilkicki, Jr. and his wife Susan.

Cathy was a dedicated employee for over 35 years at United Printing in Warwick, RI.  She began working in the bindery and after learning the business, moved into the estimating/billing department.

She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the William Shields Post, and a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in Warwick.

Cathy's most cherished times were when she was with her grandchildren.  She was always present at their sporting events and school functions throughout the years.

Cathy was a huge New England sports fan, and enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots.  When she was healthier, Cathy was an avid walker throughout the Gaspee area or inside at one of the local malls.  In recent years, she loved sitting outside reading on her deck or near the water at Conimicut Point.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston at 10 a.m.  Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
