It is with profound grief and sadness that Lisa and Michelle announce the passing of their dear mother Celia (Ferranti) Ricci on Thursday, April 16, 2026, (94) of Cranston, formerly of Johnston. She was the daughter of the late Emilio and Susie (Torelli) Ferranti of Johnston. She was the wife of the late Frederick (Fred) Ricci, the mother of the late Steven F. Ricci, and sister of the late Salvatore Ferranti, and Shirley Goldenberg. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; this gentle, loving, faithful, strong, and passionate woman has left a permanent mark etched in our hearts. She will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind her two daughters, Lisa S. Cipolla of Cranston, Michelle A. (Mitch) Ricci of Johnston, her two granddaughters, Jocelyn Dame and her husband Will of Foster and Joelle Ferri and her husband Frederick of Foster, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Ralphie, Harper Celia-Marie and John Donato. Celia also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and a group of devoted, loving and supportive friends who have been with her throughout her life and on her most recent journey. Celia touched the lives of many with her kindness and gentle soul. She excelled in Math where she later became the Tax Collector for the Town of Johnston and was also employed by the Cranston School Department. She also volunteered for many years with the late Sister Bernadette, at the Rhode Island State Prison, helping lead prayer meetings. Celia was an avid High-Low-Jack Player at the Johnston Senior Center, where she earned the title “The Queen of Hearts.” Her faith and love for God has guided her throughout her entire life. Celia will forever be remembered for her beauty both inside and out, caring heart and unconditional love. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 25th, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston.
