CHARLES "CHARLIE" GUGLIELMI

of Chepachet formerly of Cranston passed away peacefully on Sunday August 13, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie “Bunny” (Maccarone) Guglielmi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Dante and Anna (Buffardi) Guglielmi.  Charlie was a 1st LT in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and later retiring as Captain in U.S. Army reserves.

He was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of Rhode Island for 23 years before retiring. Charlie was also a dedicated associate of the Nardolillo Funeral Home for many years and was well known for his compassion and kindness. He was an active member of numerous professional organizations most notably President of The National Rehabilitation Association.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Donna A. DiBiasio and her husband Anthony of North Providence; and dear brother of Anna McKenna and her husband Frank of Cranston. Dear uncle of Kathy Charbonneau, Dan McKenna, Michelle Lewinski, Craig LaMontagne and Paul LaMontagne.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: St. Roberts Food Shelf 1804 Atwood Ave. Johnston, RI 02919.
