87, of Meshanticut Valley Parkway, Cranston, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 58 years of Virginia M. (Mancini) Haughey. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Maria (DeLucia) Haughey.
Mr. Haughey was a sales representative and worked for Providence Beverage Co. and Centrix Distributors before retiring; and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Kevin P. Haughey and his wife Amy of Narragansett, Kerri H. Mathieu and her husband Thomas of Raynham, MA, Keith T. Haughey of Mansfield, MA and Karen H. Poulin and her husband Timothy of Cranston; loving grandfather of Ali, Justin, Christopher, Scott, Timothy Jr., Thomas, Madison and Makenzie; and brother of Marlene Burke of Cumberland and Paula Menard of Cranston.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 4th at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and burial with military honors will be private at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
