Concetta (Pizzo) Palermo
92, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Hallworth House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Antonio Palermo. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Ernesto and Pierina (Alviti) Pizzo.
Concetta loved playing canasta, bowling and was always very active in the P.T.A for her local school system.
She was the devoted mother of Elaine Weisman and her late husband Leslie of Providence, and Jacqueline Garzone of Providence; cherished grandmother of Toni Weisman, Jon-Peter Garzone, and Gia Garzone; great-grandmother of Giancarlo, Anthony Joseph, and Luca; dear sister of Vera Vallante and Angelo Pizzo both of Cranston, and the late Rose Marabian, Frank Pizzo, and Ernesto Pizzo, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11am in St. Rocco's Church, 931 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O Box 1000 - Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
