Concettina Igetti

97, of Scituate, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

She was the beloved wife of the late Mario Igetti for 69 years. Born in Pontecorvo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Emilia (Colardo) DeVincenzis.

Concettina along with her husband Mario immigrated to America from Italy in 1956.

With hard work and determination, they created a beautiful life. With all their milestones and achievements, she was most proud and happy seeing their children and grandchildren succeed in life. Concettina had many talents but she will be remembered most for her homemade traditional Italian dishes made from scratch with love for her family and friends. Her lasagna and ciambelles were second to none. There was always food and baked goods on the table. In the last few years, she moved to her daughter Diana’s home. There is where she finally could relax and enjoy the later years of her life. Her son-in-law, Christopher, and grandchildren Christopher Jr. and Michael were her go to. She enjoyed lazy days by the pool, feeding table scraps to the family German Shepherd Ranger, watching the chickens roam in the yard, impromptu rides to the beach for fish and chips at George’s and socializing at the Center. Besides being known as Nonnie, it was there she was nicknamed the “Queen” She was a humble, generous, smart, extremely strong, and selfless woman. She will be sorely missed.

Besides her husband she was the mother of Maria Moretti and husband Angelo, Giancarlo Igetti and pre-deceased by daughter-in-law, Anna, Diana Calise and husband Christopher.

She also has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Concettina is survived by her sisters, Rossina Celseti and her husband Damosi, Anna Celseti, Maria Lea my, Lucy Loppo, sister-in-law Rose DeVincenzis, the late Elsa Maglione, Iolanda Trombetta and brother Pierino DeVincenzis.

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private.
