Constance R. 'Connie' (Stern) Xavier

77, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Herbert Xavier, Sr. and the companion of the late Charles B. Arnold. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Levia (Ramaglia) Stern. Connie was a child caretaker at the Children's Shelter of Blackstone Valley for fifteen years before her retirement in 2003. She adored all children and welcomed them into her home. Connie touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Herbert Xavier, Jr. and his wife Gina of Billerica, MA, Paul V. Xavier and his wife Debbie of Hawaii, Theresa M. Delmar and her husband Archie of Chandler, AZ, John F. Xavier and his wife Patricia of Alpine, CA. Connie was the cherished grandmother of ten and the great-grandmother of five. She was the sister of Jerry Stern, Irene Lambert, both of Warwick, Robert Stern of North Carolina. Connie was the mother of the late Mary Ann E. DosSantos and Sandra Lee Xavier, grandmother of two late grandchildren and sister of the late James Stern. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
