Cora M. (Marrese) Garzone
98, formerly of Johnston, passed away Wednesday January 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Salvatore "Sully" Garzone.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Clemente and Maria (DiRobbio) Marrese. Cora was an active member of Holy Cross Church and a former member of the Alpine Country Club.
She is survived by her three sons; Stephen A. Garzone and his wife Ann of Sherborn, MA, Peter C. Garzone of Warwick, Dennis S. Garzone and his wife Debra of Johnston; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; she was the sister of Pasco Marrese of Cranston and the late Assunta Magnarella and Lillian Ruemeli.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church, Providence at 11:15am. Entombment will be held at Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., N.E., Affiliate 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
