Corado A. "Cory" Dottor

August 17, 1941 — March 3, 2017

Corado A. "Cory" Dottor

of Johnston, died peacefully with his family by his side on March 3, 2017.  He was the devoted husband of Lucille “Lou” (Gaglione) Dottor.  They had been married for 53 years.  Besides his wife, he is survived by his dear sons, Corado (wife Denise) of Cranston, Christopher of Johnston and Craig (wife Alison) of Hope and seven beloved grandchildren, Chad, Danielle, Cole, Cory, Colin, Sophia and Cameron.  He is also the beloved brother-in-law of Barbara Maki and brother of Violet Lusignan and Earl Dottor.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Sandon) Dottor.

He was the proprietor of Cory’s Citgo for 47 years where he worked alongside his sons most of his life. “If it was broke, he could fix it!”

He enjoyed snowmobiling with his sons and friends and vacationing in Florida with his wife and friends.  A few clubs he belonged to were the Madonna Del Rosario Society, Travelers Protection Association and Sons of Italy.

He was a regular guy, but if you sat for a minute and listened to a story, you couldn’t help but feel endeared to him. Cory was genuine, loving, compassionate and respectful man.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 7th at 9:30 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Robert Church & Charitable Ministries, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919-3244.
