DANIEL ZINNI

86, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Berkshire Place Nursing Home, Providence. Daniel was the husband of Yolanda (Maccarone) Zinni. Born in Barrington, RI, he was the son of the late John and Filomena (Benedetti) Zinni. Mr. Zinni was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII and was employed as a social worker for 33 years, until his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Virginia Angarella of Cranston. Mr. Zinni was the grandfather of Debra Castelli and great grandfather of Briana Pearson, Nicholas and Jason Castelli. He was the brother of Josephine Bettencourt and the late Ann Castigelo, Mary Cipriano, Nicholas, Anthony, Frank and James Zinni. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Mary's Church, Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private.
