DANTE MENNA

88, of Maplewood Ave., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Gilda A. (Caranci) Menna. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giovanni and America (Menna) Menna.

Mr. Menna was an automotive technician and instructor in the auto industry for many years before retiring. He was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran and was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Rev. Michael J. Menna of Providence, Dr. John D. Menna and his wife Anne of Knoxville, TN, Joan G. DeCubellis and her husband Raymond and Maria G. Menna all of Cranston; loving grandfather of Matthew, Dillon and Kristen; and dear brother of the late Elio Menna, Grace Menna and Virginia Abbruzese.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 8 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 9 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

VISITING HOURS are Friday from 4-7 p.m.
