David L. LaVallee Sr. (Ret. PFD)

79, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Facility in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Francine C. (Bonanno) LaVallee. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Myrtle L. (Shirley) LaVallee.

He is survived by his loving sons, David L. LaVallee Jr. and his wife Nicole, Steven M. LaVallee; cherished grandchildren Christopher D. LaVallee, Joseph L. LaVallee, Steven M. LaVallee Jr., Natalia F. LaVallee, Nicole Cascione, Nathan P. Fortier, and Matthew D. Fortier; dear siblings Robert W. LaVallee and his wife Beverly, Paula M. Cotoia and her late husband John, Joan F. Gelfuso and her husband Frank, and the late Shirley C. Anderson and her late husband William. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

David worked for the Providence Fire Department as a Fireman for over 22 years. He also served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed gardening, going to breakfast with close friends, watching his sports teams, especially the Yankees and Patriots, and loved spending time with his family.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Monday, October 20th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
