David John Miele

66, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away on August 16, 2026.

Born May 4, 1960, in Providence, Rhode Island, David was the son of Louise (DiChiara) Seligman-Miele and Frank Miele Sr. He grew up in North Providence, where he cherished his time in the neighborhood and developed a lifelong love of sports, most notably basketball and baseball. A talented athlete, some of David’s fondest memories were made playing the sports he loved and spending time with friends.

David spent much of his time as a counselor at Adult & Teen Challenge, an organization that held a very special place in his heart. Adult & Teen Challenge was more than a program to David—it was a place of hope, healing, growth, and second chances. Through the people he met, the challenges he faced, and the lessons he learned, he found strength, purpose, and a community that became an important part of his life. David was proud to give back as a counselor, using his own experiences to offer hope and support to others on their journeys. The relationships he built and the lives he touched there will remain an important part of his legacy.

David will be remembered for his perseverance, faith, and hope, as well as the love he had for those closest to him.

David is survived by his brother, Frank Miele; his niece, Arianna Miele; as well as extended family members and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, Rhode Island. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, 73 Church Street, Cranston, Rhode Island.
