Deron J. Hazian
92, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 55 years of Ardemis L. "Ardy" (Hatabian) Hazian. Born in South Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late John and Dickranouhie "Doris" (Medzigian) Hazian.
Deron retired from the State of RI as Assistant Administrator for Vocational Rehabilitation Services. He graduated from Providence College in 1950 and received his Masters of Education from RI College in 1964. He was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Knights of Vartan.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Stephanie DiChiro and her husband Johnston Municipal Court Judge Michael DiChiro, Jr. of Johnston and Andrea Hazian of Smithfield; dear brother of the late V. Paul Hazian and his wife Virginia of Cranston; loving uncle of David, Gregory and John Hazian; and loving great-uncle of Paul John and Julia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by burial with military honors at North Burial Ground, Providence. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
