Diana Filomena (Pinelli) Baldino

85, of Cranston died on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 - the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, she was the wife of the late Joseph I. Baldino.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ursula (Verdelotti) Pinelli.

She has been a Cranston resident for the past 55 years.

A devoted wife and mother, Diana’s life was defined by her abiding faith, her love of family and her gentle and caring demeanor.  A faithful parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church, Cranston for over 50 years, she was a former member and past president of the Regina Coeli Society, a teacher in the Religious Education Program, served as chairperson of the Catholic Charity Fund Appeal, the Parish Reunion Dance, and on many committees, fundraisers, and events for the benefit of the parish and its school.

Diana is survived by her son, Lawrence A. Baldino, his wife, Claudia and son Alexander with whom she made her home, her son, Robert A. Baldino, his wife Lauri, and children Jonathan and Breanne Baldino and Alexa & Edwin Howell, of Carlsbad, CA, her daughter, Kathleen M. Marr, her husband Brian and sons, Tyler and Jonathon Marr of Warwick, her sisters, Joan U. Lurgio of Warwick and Ursula M. Zarrella of Cranston and her brothers-in-law John R. Procaccini, Sr. and Tim Zarrella both of Cranston.  She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and godchildren for whom she had great affection.  She was the sister of the late Sylvia A. Procaccini and the sister-in-law of the late Alfred Lurgio and Pellegrino “Chip” and Loretta Parente.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary’s Church, Cranston at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS will be held on Tuesday 5:00-8:00 PM.
