Diana L. (Capuano) Wormald

passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at South County Hospital, surrounded by the family and friends she cherished most. As she rested, the room was filled with some of her favorite music — the Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, Jimmy Buffett, and more — a reflection of the joyful spirit and love of music that defined her life.

Diana will be remembered for her incredible kindness, generous heart and the way she always put others before herself. Her warmth, compassion, and beautiful spirit brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew her. She had a way of bringing laughter, music, and conversation wherever she went, and she treasured time spent with family and friends. She loved cooking, sharing delicious meals, and enjoying life’s simple moments.

Diana grew up in Cranston, and graduated from Cranston West High School, Class of 1979. She later attended the San Francisco Art Institute and spent several years living in California before returning to Rhode Island in 1992 with her daughter, Danielle, to be closer to family.

After a few years in Jamestown, Diana settled in Narragansett in 1996, where she remained for the rest of her life. Narragansett became the place she proudly called home, where she built many friendships and became part of a community she truly loved.

Diana loved to travel and spend time in places that brought her peace and happiness, including the Florida Keys, Block Island, and Cape Cod. For many years, she also made the annual trip to the Daytona 500 each February.

Diana is survived by her daughter, Danielle Winter, and son-in-law Brendon Winter of Narragansett; her mother, Carol Capuano of Cranston; her father, Daniel Capuano Jr. (Paula) of Delray Beach, Florida; her sister, Kim Capuano Derby (Tony) of West Greenwich; and her brothers, Daniel Capuano III of Cranston and Dean Capuano (Sandy) of Coventry.

She also leaves behind her beloved nieces: Nikole Soares (William), Kate McKenna (Mike) and Gracyn Capuano. Diana also shared a special bond with Andrew Rodgers (Renata), whom she lovingly considered an “honorary” son and held very close to her heart. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Her grandsons, Dylan (5) and Joey (4), were the light of her life and her greatest joy. She adored them and loved nothing more than spending time with her boys, who she often called her favorite humans.

VISITING HOURS for Diana are Saturday, March 14th from 12 noon to 3pm with a service immediately following at 3pm at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory - SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.
