Diane T. (Bessette) Barone

49, of Johnston, passed away on July 19, 2014, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Anthony G. Barone for 27 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Elizabeth M. (Cardillo) Bessette of Cranston and the late Lawrence D. Bessette. Diane was employed by the University of Rhode Island, College of Pharmacy. Diane was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Liane M. Barone of North Providence, Bethany E. Barone, and Aimee L. Barone, both of Johnston. She was also the caring sister of Donna Flood and her husband Michael of Exeter, Lawrence Bessette Jr. and his wife Mary of Fall River, MA, James Bessette and his wife Kristen of Coventry, Michael Bessette and his wife Joanne, Lena Burghardt and her husband Charles, all of Warwick, and David Bessette and his wife Tina of North Scituate. Diane loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
