Dimitri Peter Emmanouel Vourvachakis

Dimitri Peter Emmanouel Vourvachakis, 26 of West Warwick passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 6, 2026. He was the beloved son of George and Ann (Lekos) Vourvachakis, and the younger twin brother of Anastasia.

Besides his parents and his sister, he is survived by his maternal grandmother Eugenia Lekos, his uncle Dr. Andrew Lekos and his daughters Alexia and Leticia; his uncle Konstantine Lekos and his wife Karen, as well as many cousins and friends who will hold his memory close and lasting. He is predeceased by his grandparents Peter Lekos, Emmanouel and Dimitra Vourvachakis who loved and cherished Dimitri deeply.

He was born in Kirvorograd, Ukraine and was adopted by two devoted Greek parents and a loving family all ready to welcome him in. He was raised in a home filled with love and support. The twins were funny and joyful children. We all enjoyed traveling and even visited Greece in 2011. Dimitri was a gentle soul, very loving and compassionate. Dimitri was a Cretan to his core. He embraced his parent’s heritage with great pride and enthusiasm, learning the language, customs and dances of Greece. Watching him dance his heart out, full of energy, joy and spirit is a memory cherished by all who knew him.

Dimitri had a deep love for his family and for all the animals he care for over the years. Hunting and fishing brought him peace and joy where he found comfort in quiet moments spent in nature. His dream was to one day own a farm with lots of land to raise his animals. His gentle heart, loyalty, kindness and zest for life will be remembered by everyone.

Our beloved son was a blessing from God, he gave so much of himself to each of us so this painful goodbye is only until we meet again. Peace be with him, the joy of our lives. We love you always. Mama and Baba
