Dolores A. (Volpe) Capobianco

91, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. She was the devoted and loving wife of Nicholas Capobianco Jr. for sixty years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Vincenza (Germano) Volpe.

Raised on Federal Hill, Dolores worked in her earlier years as a typist in downtown Providence. In her youth she delighted in evenings out with her husband Nicholas, whether dancing together or dining with family and friends. She found particular joy in preparing Italian meals and in watching classic films with her daughter Dawn. She had a great sense of humor and a sassy spirit. Also, she was a proud cancer survivor.

Besides her husband Nicholas, she is survived by her loving children, Dawn Capobianco of Cranston and Nicholas Capobianco III of Cranston. She was the sister of the late Nicholas Volpe, Gloria Mendillo, Elena Barra, and Violet Melfi. She also leaves behind her adored cat, Leo.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Her Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
