78, of Plainfield Pike, Johnston, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 31 years of John J. Fontes, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Carmella (Corrente) Ottiano.
Dolores was a waitress in the restaurant industry for many years before retiring.
Besides her husband, she was the devoted mother of Sandra J. Verdecchia and her husband Steven of Johnston and Joseph B. Pupella and his wife Gina of Warwick; loving grandmother of Kristin, Kerri, Joli and Joseph; loving great-grandmother of Marena, Ryan, Sophia and Fallyn; and adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of the late Angelina DiMunzio, Evelyn Angelotti, Gloria Jarvis, Ann DiMauro, George, Thomas, John, Salvatore and Raymond Ottiano.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
