Dolores A. (DiMuccio) Tortorella

Apr 10, 1936 — Jul 17, 2026

Dolores A. (DiMuccio) Tortorella

born on April 10, 1936, in Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Dolores leaves behind a cherished legacy of devotion to her family and a life filled with warmth, generosity, and love.

Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Tortorella. She was a devoted mother to Lori Anne Lang and her husband George, David J. Tortorella, and Daniel J. Tortorella. Her grandchildren, Stephanie M. Deletetsky and her husband Jason and Mark G. Lang, and her great-granddaughter, Blake Deletetsky, were a constant source of pride and joy.

Dolores worked for Colibri Group for many years before retiring.

Family was always at the heart of Dolores’s life, and she drew her greatest happiness from time spent with those she loved. Her home was the gathering place where memories were made, especially during festive celebrations such as her renowned Christmas Eve dinners, where she would lovingly prepare and serve the traditional seven fishes. Hosting and preparing these cherished meals for her family was a tradition she treasured deeply, believing that togetherness brought true meaning and richness to her life.

Dolores loved nothing more than sharing her passions with those around her. Crafting alongside her grandchildren brought her immense joy, as did teaching them the intricacies of cooking, passing down beloved family recipes and treasured kitchen wisdom to the next generation. Her skills and careful attention to detail in the kitchen became a family hallmark. In quieter moments, Dolores enjoyed relaxing with a Hallmark movie, finding comfort and delight in simple pleasures.

Dolores always honored her roots and remembered those who passed before her, holding close the memories of her late husband Richard J. Tortorella, her parents Joseph and Adaline (Pera) Di Muccio, and her brother Anthony Di Muccio.
