80, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Vito Cotoia. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Lancellotta) Petrarca.
Domenica was the owner of Mickey's Jewelry for many years until her retirement. She loved to travel, cook, and entertain for her family and friends. She enjoyed old movies, music, and loved to shop. She loved her family, and especially her grandchildren. She belonged to the Santa Maria di Prata Society, where she loved to play bocce with her friends.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving daughters, Michelle David and her husband George of Cranston, and Angela Haggerty and her husband Dennis of South Kingstown; cherished grandchildren Jessica David, Dennis Alexander and Andrew Haggerty; dear sisters Victoria Lombardo of California, and Antonetta Branca of Cranston. She was the sister of the late Nicholas, Joseph, Peter, Pasquale, and Domenic Petrarca, and Louise Forsberg.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brigid's Church, 1231 Plainfield Street, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 or to the American Heart Association, 1 State Street, Suite 200, Providence, RI 02908, or the Disabled American Veterans, Dept. of R.I., 1 Capitol Hill, Providence, RI 02908.
