Domenico A. Passarella

89, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 20, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Ciolli) Passarella and the late Gloria (Ricci) Passarella. He was born in Prata Sannita, Caserta, Italy a son of the late Francesco and Nicoletta (Russo) Passarella.
Domenico came to America to make a better life for his family. He loved to educate people with his life experiences and old wise sayings. Mr. Passarella was the owner and operator of Domenico Passarella Landscaping for many years until his retirement. He had his own nursery, where his passion for gardening and growing beautiful flowers and vegetables were a marvel to look at.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Rose Muccio and her husband Angelo of Cranston, Frank Passarella and his wife Susan of North Kingstown, Anthony Passarella of Johnston, Giuseppe Moscarelli and his wife Pamela of Johnston and Rocco Moscarelli and his girlfriend Jen of Coventry. He was also the cherished grandfather of 11, great grandfather of 8 with 2 on the way and dear brother of Carmino Passarella of Italy. Domenico was the former father in-law of Linda Moscarelli and Lorraine DiLorenzo. He loved his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday 4-8 pm.
