Donatella (Ferrie) Fasano

91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of sixty-eight years to Albert Fasano. Born in New Haven, CT she was a daughter of the late Edward and Marietta (Iatomassi) Ferrie. No one who met Donatella forgot her infectious laughter and passion for making people laugh. As a true matriarch, she never forgot a birthday and enjoyed gathering the family together for home-cooked meals every holiday. She was the engine that kept the family running. Donatella shared her love of travel and life with her friends and family. Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children, Ronald Fasano and his wife Mary of Richmond, Raymond Fasano and his wife Joan of Scituate, Robert Fasano of Cranston, and Regina Goulding and her husband Stephen of Providence. Donatella was the mother of the late Richard Fasano, and the mother-in-law of Elizabeth Fasano of Madison, CT. She was the cherished grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of six. She was the sister of the late Rose Laudano, Vincent, Albert, Caroline, and Edward Ferrie. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by services at 10:00 a.m. in Woodridge Congregational Church, 30 Jackson Road, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich, VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8pm.
