Doris A. (Simone) McDonnell

90, of North Providence, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. McDonnell. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late Gary and Ida (Corsetti) Simone. Doris worked as a cosmetic supervisor for Germain Monteil for many years before retiring.

She is survived by her loving sister, Gloria McElroy; dear nieces Karen Zarrella (Joseph) and Claudia Hoffman (Stuart); cherished great-nephew Joseph Gary Zarrella. She is also survived by her two dear friends Sam Phipps-Moore and Robin Moore. Doris was predeceased by her brother Frank Simone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
