93, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 21, 2016. She was the friend, partner and now wife of 53 years of Claire L. Jordan of Cranston. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Albertina (DePasquale) Saccoccia. She was the sister of Gloria Medici of Cranston, Marjorie Montecalvo of Exeter & the late Theodore Saccoccia of Cranston.
She was a graduate of Bryant College & The Wilson School of Boston. As a Medical Technologist she worked in hospitals in Washington, D.C. & New Jersey before joining RI Hospital as the Supervisor of the Hematology Lab & then the RI Blood Bank for 28 years before retiring. She & Claire owned & operated an antique & collectable business for many years, travelling to shows in RI, MA, CT, &NY.
She is survived by five nieces & five nephews, six great-nieces, six great-nephews and two great great-nieces. .
Dottie's kindness & sweet nature will be remembered by all who knew her for many years to come.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Cranston Historical Society and the Knightsville Library Association.
