95, a beloved sister and aunt, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at her home in North Providence, she was the wife of the late Virgilio "Gene" Guercia. Born in Providence, Eda was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Angelina (Tomassi) Cavallaro, and has resided in North Providence for the past 35 years.

Mrs. Guercia served the State of Rhode Island for many years as a Social Worker for Soldiers Welfare until retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of Saint Anthony's Church, North Providence and was previously an active parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Providence.

Eda was a devoted and loving wife, daughter and sister and was happiest when surrounded by her family. Affectionately called "Auntie Ede", she was a caring and protective presence in the lives of three generations of nieces and nephews.

She was the dear sister of Margaret Campellone of Lincoln and Alfred A. Cavallaro of East Greenwich and the late Rev. Msgr. Galliano J. Cavallaro, Vincent and Armand Cavallaro. She is also survived by 4 nieces and 4 nephews and their families.

Lasting memories of her kind, generous, and faithful spirit will be cherished by all those who loved her and whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:30 AM in Saint Anthony's Church 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting Hours will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church Memorial Fund 5 Gibbs Street North Providence, RI 02904.
