Eda (Iacobbo) Marandola

passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on October 14, 1927, in Providence, Rhode Island, Eda lived a life richly woven with love, dedication, and passion.

For most of her life, Eda was the proud owner of Edie's Beauty Salon located on Dyer Avenue in Cranston. Her salon became a cherished establishment in the community, reflecting her unwavering commitment to her craft and her clients. Eda took great joy in her work, nurturing relationships and providing comfort and care to all who walked through her doors.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Eda had numerous interests that colored her life. She was an avid WWE enthusiast and a devoted fan of John Cena, a passion that she shared with her family and friends. Eda's love for cooking, particularly her famous meatballs, was a hallmark of her family gatherings, where her culinary creations brought everyone together in joyful celebration. Her contributions to her family extended beyond the kitchen; she was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, where her faith played an integral role in her life.

Eda leaves behind a loving family that includes her grandsons, Raymond J. Marandola and his wife Julie of Warwick, and Michael L. Marandola of Cranston. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-granddaughters, Brianna and Haylee Marandola, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Raymond L. Marandola, Sr., and her son, Raymond L. Marandola, Jr. Eda is also preceded in death by her parents Giovanni and Vincenza (Massa) Iacobbo and her eight siblings, who together left an indelible mark on her life.

Her funeral and burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Elizabeth Adult Day Memory Care Center, 140 Warwick Neck Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889.
