66, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday November 3, 2013 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Providence.
He was the beloved husband of Nancy Viau. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Delcy and Michelina (Iadevaia) Viau.
Eddie served as a Vietnam veteran and was awarded many medals, including the honorable Bronze star with the V device. After serving his country, Eddie was a self- employed contractor. He was also the past President of the Coventry's Men's Club.
Besides his wife, he was the dear brother of George Viau of Johnston, Betty Turnbull of Warwick, June Jarette of Narragansett, and the late Delcy "John"Viau. He was also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, Providence at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place in Highland Memorial Park in Johnston, Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
