97, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at West View Nursing Home, West Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Valletta. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Antonetta (Muscatiello) DiBucci. Edith was an excellent cook and baker. She was a member of the Assumption Church food pantry and the Tabernacle Society. Edith is survived by her loving daughter, Constance Ann Manchester of Cranston, her step-children Thomas A. Valletta of Warwick and Camille Votta of North Providence. She was the cherished grandmother of Judith Boyle and George H. Bowen, III, and the great-grandmother of Kevin P. Grant, Jr., Lauren L. Grant, George H. Bowen, IV, Ava E. Boyle, Kylie E. Bowen, and Corey Boucher. She was the sister of Anna Foley, Amelia Barbaro, both of Warwick, Golanda Cerce of East Greenwich, Jeannette Pari, Jacqueline Kelley, both of Warwick, and the late Philip DiBucci, Carmella Pezzullo, Mafalda DeSisto, and Emma Cerce. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private.
