Edward Souren Eranosian

Edward Souren Eranosian, 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Najarian) Eranosian.  They were married in 1958.  Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Souren and Elise (Kasparian) Eranosian.

After graduating from Bryant College with a degree in accounting, Ed served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Following his army service, he started a 40-year career at the Providence Journal Company.  He retired in 1995 as a Systems Analyst, occasionally returning as a consultant until 1998.

Ed was an active member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church.  He served on the Parish Council for 16 years, and was a Diocesan Delegate for 8 years.  He also acted as treasurer for numerous committees and events over the years.

Ed was also active in the Armenian Community.  He held leadership positions with the Armenian Students’ Association at both the local and national level.  He was also a member of the Knights of Vartan and the Armenian Historical Association of Rhode Island.

Ed was the devoted father of Craig Eranosian, Carol Storti (Richard), and Gail Marsocci (Albert); cherished grandfather of Nicole, Jessica, and Brandon; and loving great-grandfather of Lucia.  He is also survived by his sisters Annette Metcalf and Arlene DerHagopian.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 21st at 11:00 AM in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church, 70 Jefferson Street, Providence, RI 02908, followed by burial with military honors at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.  Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00 PM in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church.
