Eileen M. (Antuono) Zarrella

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen M. Zarrella, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the age of 93. She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond J. Zarrella Sr., with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised a family that embodies the legacy of their marriage, marked by love and unity that will be cherished forever.

Born in Providence, Eileen was the daughter of the late Rinaldo and Concetta (Cipolla) Antuono. She was the loving mother of Ronald V. Zarrella, Regina M. Annese, and the late Raymond J. Zarrella Jr.; cherished grandmother of Michael, Mark, David, and Derek; and dear sister of Rinaldo Antuono Jr. and Geraldine Almonte. She was predeceased by her siblings Louis Antuono, Robert Antuono, and Anna DiFalco.

Eileen, a caring mother and grandmother, dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren with strong morals and good values, encompassing faith, financial discipline, and practical life skills. Known for her sharp mind and intelligence, she kept herself well-informed on current events, the economy, and the latest medical trends.

Eileen had a remarkable talent for making every holiday and family gathering special with her exceptional cooking and baking. Her home was always a welcoming and warm place for everyone who visited. Whether it was a casual Sunday dinner or a festive holiday feast, Eileen's kitchen was the heart of her home, where everyone felt truly welcomed and loved.

Eileen will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the love she gave will live on in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the Zarrella family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Funeral arrangements are private.
