Elaine (Davis) Stubbs
85, of Jamestown, RI, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Stubbs. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Beauregard) Davis.
Elaine was a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College, class of 1950. Elaine was a medical technologist and operated the first medical lab in the town of Burrillville for many years until going on the road as a phlebotomist, retiring at the age of 81. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed playing card games with her family.
She was the devoted mother of Deborah Delmonico and her husband Michael of Jamestown, Timothy Stubbs and his wife Jill of Wake Forest, NC, Paula Dutilly of Newport and the late Steven Stubbs; dear sister of Muriel Davis of Lakewood, NJ and sister of the late Russell Davis; and loving grandmother of Michael Dutilly and his wife Julie, Victoria Delmonico, Nicholas Delmonico, Ian Delmonico, Sarah Minard, Jameson Stubbs, and Genevieve Stubbs. She also leaves her beloved cousin Nancy Sweeney; niece Terry Ryan; and dear friends Helen Foppiani and Karla LeMaire.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 45 Main St. Harrisville. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
