86, of Dennis, MA, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Epoch Senior Health Care, Brewster, MA. She was the wife of the late William H. Harrington Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Henry W. and Emma C. (Widmann) Kaiser. Mrs. Harrington graduated Truesdale Hospital Nursing School, MA and was a member of the Truesdale Alumni Association. She was a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, Providence and Kent Hospital, Warwick. Eleanor was also later employed as a tax accountant for the IRS and worked in the same capacity for Edwards & Angell Law Firm Tax Department. She was a member of the friends of Yarmouth Senior Center, a member of Help Hospitalized Veterans, and a communicant of St. Pius X Church, Yarmouth, MA. As a patriotic American, she adopted the 115th Military Police Company from RI during their tour in Kuwait by regularly sending them cookies and "gems of the day" for which she was presented their official unit coin that was given to unit members and those who gave them moral support while in theater.
Eleanor is survived by her loving children, William H. Harrington III of Cranston, Kathleen Humphrey and her husband George of Marstons Mills, MA, John K. Harrington of Yarmouth Port, MA, Michael G. Harrington and his fiancAC.e Lynne Parent of West Palm Beach, FL, Paul J. Harrington and his wife Jo-Ann of Carlisle, PA and the late Eileen H. Bowman and her surviving husband Donald of Magnolia, TX. She was the cherished "Nana/Ommie" of 13 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 2 great-grandsons, and sister-in-law of both Maureen C. Harrington and her late brother John F. Harrington both of Fall River, MA.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 25th, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, 15 Garden Court, Cranston.
