Eleanor D. (Dahlin) Mercurio

90, formerly of Vermont Avenue in Providence, died peacefully on January 13, 2023 at Halcyon West Bay in Warwick. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Helen Dahlin and Edith Haglund. Eleanor worked as a lunch aid for the Providence School Department for 39 years before retiring. She was also a member of the Laborers’ Union Local #1033.

Eleanor is survived by her loving daughters, Ann Marie (Mercurio) Molloy and her husband James of Cranston, Eleanor (Mercurio) Brown and her husband David of Coventry, and Lorraine Mercurio of Johnston; cherished grandchildren, Trisha Molloy and her husband Brad Mirza, Scott Molloy and Mark Gill; great-grandchildren, William and Jack Mirza and James and Sonya Molloy. She was the dear sister of the late Florence Wilson and aunt of Dana Wilson. Eleanor was predeceased by her son Christy Mercurio, who died as an infant.
