90, of Providence, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Cherry Hill Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Paglio, Sr. Born in Providence, Eleanor was a daughter of the late Domenico and Theresa (Carnevale) Silvestri. Mrs. Paglio was a cashier at Stop & Shop for many years, before retiring. Eleanor enjoyed visiting Foxwoods Casino and Twin River, loved bocce ball, bowling, singing and dancing, and was an avid Red Sox Fan.
She is survived by her loving children, Diane Carroccia and her husband John of Cranston, Leonard Paglio, Jr. and his wife Karen of Johnston, Donna Santoro and her husband Anthony of Lincoln, and Elena DiBattista and her husband Mark of FL. Eleanor was the cherished grandmother of Kimberly Santoro-Courtemache, Anthony Santoro, Jr., Maria Carroccia, Jennifer Thanas, and was also the great grandmother of Michael Santoro and Tayla Varan. She was the dear sister of the late Joseph, Albert, Angelo, Anthony "Tony" and Raymond Silvestri, Rose Lopardo and Ida D'Ellena.
Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Providence at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 5:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
