95 of East Greenwich passed away on July 11, 2016 with the same courage, grace, faith and dignity with which she lived her life. Her loving and devoted family surrounded her.
She was married for 59 years to the love of her life, the late Charles A. Reppucci. Born in Roslindale, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Galizia) Giorgio. She was sister to the late Salvatore, John, Joseph and Thomas Giorgio.
After graduating from secretarial school, Eleanor was employed as a secretary by the FBI in Boston, where she met Charlie, who was an FBI agent. After surviving cancer in 1978, she became an example of a life well lived, sharing her extraordinary faith, joy, kindness, humor and compassion with everyone she knew. She dedicated herself to “right to life” causes, and was a founding member of the Little Flower Home for Unwed Mothers in Harrisville, RI, where she served on the board of directors for many years. For the past 11 years, she was the “Welcome” person for new residents at The Seasons Senior Living facility, sharing her warmth and engaging personality to make sure every new resident got settled into their new home. For three years she also served as the President of the Residents Association of the Seasons. She was a member of the Meshanticut Garden Club, as well as an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary for many years. Eleanor was a devoted Boston fan, following the Red Sox’s and Patriots through every season. She enjoyed reading, politics, and crocheting. Her greatest joy was being with her loving family and many friends at The Seasons.
She was the devoted and ever sacrificing mother of Elaine Guillette and her husband Robert of Coventry, Charles R. Reppucci and wife Carol of Narragansett, Patti Reppucci of East Greenwich, Peter Reppucci and wife Tina of Naples, FL and Carol Sullivan and husband Edward of Charlestown, RI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Christopher and Gregory Guillette, Maria Rinaldi, Michael, Joseph, Jennifer, Alyssa and Peter Reppucci, and Alexander, Meaghan and Matthew Sullivan. She was also “Bisnonna” to 8 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road, Warwick at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be on Friday, July 15th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 186 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA 02143.
