Eleanora "Nora" (DiBenedetto) Ionata Williams

105, of Warwick, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025 at the Avalon Nursing Home in Warwick. Born in Springfield, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Paolo and Agatha (Maio) DiBenedetto. Eleanora was the former wife of the late Dario Ionata and Alvin Williams.

She is survived by her loving children, Diana Tenrreiro, Paul Ionata, Anthony Ionata, Dario Ionata Jr; cherished grandchildren Anthony James and his wife Anjelika, Allen Tenrreiro and his wife Debi, and great grandchildren Laura James, Ava James, and Arya James; nephew Anthony DiBenedetto and his extended family in New Jersey. She was the sister of the late Frances Gouveia, Domenic DiBenedetto, Anthony DiBenedetto, Albert DiBenedetto, and Josephine Bruscato.

Eleanora came to Rhode Island in 1922 from Vermont, settling in Providence. She moved to Warwick in 1925 until moving to Johnston in 1981. She was a member of the Smith Hill Center in Providence, the Johnston Senior Center, and volunteer and member of the Simmonsville Community Center. She also volunteered at White Brook Terrace in Johnston doing activities and assisting residents.

Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS will be Friday, August 8th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
